We are very pleased to announce that The Strategy Unit has been invited to be a founding member of the new Urgent and Emergency Psychiatric Care Centre for Research and Training at Aston  Medical School. This is in recognition of the work we have done in advancing Rapid Assessment Interface and Discharge services through evaluation.

At the same time we have been asked to become an Associate of PADUA, the Psychiatry and Dementia Unit at Aston University. We are currently developing two significant research projects with PADUA, with The Strategy Unit providing specialist quantitative evaluation input and also support for establishing pilot implementations of new care models.

"The Strategy Unit do ground breaking work of the highest quality. Their recent national report on mental health and physical health was exemplary and very important. I think that the collaboration between my clinical research teams at Aston Medical School  and The Strategy Unit promises something really exciting. Their commitment to improving services for people in mental health crisis and people with dementia (and their carers) is very clear and is demonstrated by effective action. They are also just really good to work with, so we will have a nice time as well as doing great work together!’’
