• Claire specialises in leading and performing complex analytical modelling and data science.  Claire is passionate about supporting team members to maximise their own impact, and in implementation of the principles of making data science for health as transparent, collaborative, effective and efficient as possible.

  • Claire has a decade of experience of frontline clinical veterinary medicine, and another in health data science and analysis for academia and policy. Claire has an MSc and PhD in genetic epidemiology, and has held positions in several UK universities. Claire is an Associate of the Higher Education Academy and has extensive teaching experience across veterinary medicine and statistics and has been an external examiner for postgraduate degrees.

    Claire has published widely in peer-reviewed journals and is active within the NHS-R Community. Claire is a member of the Royal Statistical Society and the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons, is an Office for National Statistics Accredited Statistician and is a badged statistician of the Government Statistical Group.
